SEF funds collaborative projects that will result in expanded, well coordinated learning opportunities for Sequim students. These projects will promote vibrant learning environments where students actively participate in creative problem solving and engaged learning, supported by the tools and teaching expertise that make learning meaningful and inspiring.

Teaching Grant Endowment: Long-Term Sustainability For Innovation

Endowment support helps ensure Teaching Grants remain available for the long term. By building sustainable funding, SEF can continue supporting teacher led innovation even as budgets and circumstances change.

We are building long term capacity for teaching innovation through endowment stewardship and community support. Our goal is to build an endowment of 1.2 Million dollars that will allow SEF to provide up to $100,000 in Teaching Grants annually.

Scholarship Funds We Administer

Empowering students by providing financial support for higher education, removing barriers to academic success, and paving the way for the pursuit of their educational dreams.

SEF administers donor established scholarship funds and endowments that help students access post secondary opportunities. Our role is stewardship ensuring donor intent is honored and funds are managed responsibly so scholarships can continue supporting students over time.

We believe community trust is essential. SEF maintains long term financial reporting and board oversight to ensure funds are used responsibly and aligned with our mission.

As a non-profit education foundation, SEF is approved to receive donations, gifts, bequests, and devises; manage and administer resources; and distribute funds, scholarships, and grants in support of Sequim’s school children.

Operating expenses are minimal, so more of every dollar goes directly to help Sequim public school students and their teachers.

All of our board members are volunteers from the community and are not compensated for their time or participation with the foundation.
